Originally from Dublin, Ireland, I attended the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth, Dorset where I successfully completed a Masters Degree in Chiropractic.
Being a keen long distance runner for the past 10 years, I regularly participating in 3-4 marathons a year.
I first encountered the power of chiropractic after being treated by chiropractor for ankle injury. The natural philosophy and effective treatment techniques behind chiropractic inspired me to become a part of this dynamic profession. With a passion for sports, I have been fortunate to work with elite tennis players, professional football & rugby players, international iron man & marathon athletes.
During my five years at the A.E.C.C modules included exercise rehabilitation, neurology, biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, x-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and therapeutic massage. I furthered my knowledge and skills with post-graduate studies in Dry Needling (Medical Acupuncture), Sacro-Occpital Therapy & Kinesio-Tape practitioner.
Having spent extensive study time towards learning many aspects of improving human function and movement in order to optimise sports performance, I am confident to assess, manage and treat a wide variety of sports injuries while reducing the chances of their recurrence. Being certified as an A.R.T therapist (Active Release Techniques) has also given me the ability to deal with effective muscular problems from gym goers to elite athletes.
Furthermore, I have studied and received certification for the International Chiropractic Sports Learning (Fédération Internationale de Chiropratique du Sport (FICS)- the world recognised post-graduate qualification for sports chiropractors.
